About
For many families, one of the most overwhelming parts of raising a neurodivergent child is learning how to navigate systems that were not designed with neurodivergent learners in mind. Parents often find themselves in meetings, reading reports, trying to understand policies, and advocating for supports without ever having been taught how these systems actually work. Step 3 focuses on helping parents move from feeling confused and powerless within systems to feeling informed, prepared, and confident when advocating for their child. In this stage, parents learn how schools operate, how decisions are made, and how to advocate in ways that build collaboration while ensuring their child’s needs are clearly understood and supported. This step provides practical guidance so parents can walk into meetings, communicate with professionals, and navigate systems with clarity and confidence.
